You're an adult?

How some people have survived to adulthood without natural selection taking hold can be astounding sometimes. I have the pleasure, working in customer service, to deal with some of the nicest and most easy going people in the world. Unfortunately there are some people that are...what's a good word for this...stupid. Stupid is the easiest and probably the best measuring stick to describe some of the people i meet on a day to day basis, but to branch that out a little more i use a scale of 1-10 because some people are just dumber than others.

Really? You're upset that your car isn't done in thirty minutes when i told you it would take an hour before we even started on it? You wanna talk to my boss? How about i take your car and park it on the tracks then... Or better yet, next time you come in it will take four times as long for whatever you need. There's a saying "dont mess with people who handle your food." Well what about the people that take care of your car for you, that's kind of a bigger deal since most people will be in their cars for 70% of their lives.

Dont get me wrong not everyone fits the mold, there are some great customers that i deal with, but anyone who's worked customer service knows that it only takes that one bad customer to ruin your day in a heartbeat. At what point do we stop taking abuse from these rude and socially inept people and start sticking up for ourselves and telling them like it is? Political correctness is the worst thing that ever happened to this country and it needs to go bye bye.

So please next time someone is waiting on you and you know they're trying their hardest to help you, take it easy on them because they'll take care of you better if you're more understanding.

  1. Oh so true.

I remember when I was working at Radio Shack and I was the only person in the store. We had a rush at that time and there were about 6 customers wanting something at the same time and I had to somehow figure out how to help each of them with what they needed. Some of them got upset because I wasn't fast enough for their liking.

If you want to see what selfishness looks like, work in customer service for a while and you'll see who the selfish and unselfish ones are.
